Volunteering Day with YORGreenCIC

Staff from FOD Mobility Group recently teamed up with local environment charity, YORGreenCIC, for a day of volunteering at the Scouts Low Wood Activity Centre in West Yorkshire’s Aire Valley.

The team got involved with some tree maintenance up in the hills of the old Riddlesden golf site, which has been transformed into 81 acres of community woodland. They helped to remove covers from trees, hammer in new stakes, and recover trees and shrubs to ensure the local flora is protected from wildlife damage.

Their efforts helped to preserve the natural beauty of the area and make it safe and fun for the local Scouts team and community in Keighley. It was also a fantastic experience, giving the team a chance to roll up their sleeves, spend some time in nature and give back to the local community.

Here’s some photos from our day in the countryside.
